Handmade Findings ~

"Findings" are the working parts of a jewelry design - such as clasps, the earring wires, headpins, and bails.

Both functional and decorative, when used as an element of an original design, they can set the piece apart from the ordinary.

Using Sterling Silver, we explore techniques for creating unique handmade components, and will introduce metalworking skills such as fine soldering, making jump rings, and crafting ornamental headpins, earring wires, necklace hooks and toggle clasps.

We can also use surface textures, twisted wires, granules, and add oxidation to expand the horizons for originality in design.
