Int Silver ~ Hinges, Lockets & Cuffs

~ Intermediate Silver - Hinges, Lockets, Cuffs ~

In this class, we will work on hinges and connections. Choose to create a small box, a locket or a cuff bracelet in sterling silver and incorporate mixed metals. We will be learning different mechanics like hinges, pins and box clasps to create movement and security in our work.

Learn how to texture the metal with use of different hammers, chasing tools, burs, and create patterned metal with the rolling mill. Soldering skills will be greatly improved with these detailed projects. In addition to learning these new skills, you'll learn ways of finding inspiration, layout and design, plus many little bench tricks along the way.
